Smart enough?

We wake up in the morning check our smartphones, put on our smart watch smart sunglasses and go to our smart workplaces. There is this constant need of everything around us to be smart, but is it really necessary?

No doubt stuff like smart TV, smart AC, smart vehicles etc. have made our life wonderful but what bothers me is making a smart alternate of every thing. Like if your 'swad anusar' is never correct don't worry the world has a small gadget for you "The Smalt Salt Dispenser". It will advice you the right amount of salt through a mobile phone app!

And our dear L'Oréal claims that the world's first "Smart Hairbrush" that they made provides its users with data about the health of their hair, brushing quality and even recommends on how to comb them better! This brush comes with a price tag of $200 only. I mean who wouldn't buy this right ?

I an not a luddite or a rebel, as a matter of fact, I can't imagine my life without smart things around. What I'm really worried about is losing the human touch in everything.

What are the parameters to set a balance between being satisfied with the technology we have and the passion and thrill of growing and exploring more. If there aren’t any, there should be. Or the day is not far when we will actually live the episodes of Black Mirror. Okay, I accept that was a little dramatic but I’m 20 who saw 10 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy so you get it right!

While I'm writing this there will be some kid with an idea of some crazy smart thing, maybe a smart underwear. Who am I kidding smart underwear exist already!

I often wonder what is the ultimate goal of making things smart? I mean is a 10 year old playing some games on a smartphone is more happy than some kid in a village?

Well in the end all I'll say is 'beauty lies in the eye of a beholder' or should I say 'utility lies in the eye of beholder'. Sounds lame, nevermind. I'll just go watch some Netflix on my smart TV okay bye. And remember to wash your hands!
